Ghost Town Rally 2012
The 2012 Ghost Town Rally, hosted by the Broken Hill Branch of the Ulysses Club seemed to be threatened by the impending windy weather, but the weather didn’t seem to deter the seasoned bikers and as luck would have it the weather turned out to be just glorious. The travellers from all parts of Australia were again joined to renew their friendships, enjoy great food and socialise as only the Ulysses Club know how to do. The travellers enjoyed the nights outside the club rooms by the open fires with live band “Reflections” playing music which created a relaxed and happy atmosphere. The bikers mates (the four legged friends pictured below) enjoyed the warmth of the sun from all angles and soaked it up with huge smiles on their faces.
The Ghost Town Rally participants were once again treated to great food throughout the weekend, catered for by the members of the Broken Hill Speedboat Club.
As was done in previous years the tireless volunteers of the Broken Hill Speedboat Club catered for the entire weekend. Kevin Stacey and Darryn Clifton coordinated the weekend with up to lots of volunteers helping out including some of our Copi Kiddies.
Saturday night the Ulysses Club held speeches in the club rooms and drew out the raffle winners with heaps of prizes being given away.
This years Ghost Town Rally included a merchandise stall which sold lots of the merchandise favoured by “bikers” and included some items children.
The clubs president “Dean Schmidt” thanked the Broken Hill Speedboat Club for all there hard work and mentioned that the friendly people formed part of the reason for their continual return to Copi for their Rally each year.
The Broken Hill Speedboat Club Committee would like to thank all the volunteers (including the children), and Sharon and Andrew for their tireless efforts that made the 2012 Ghost Town Rally a huge success.
