Easter 2011
The Easter break starts with Good Friday, a religious day for some and simply a day to celebrate for others. Either way the spirit of festivities was in the air at Copi with people out and about, socializing well into the night.
Sunday morning loomed and the kids were up bright eyed and bunny tailed, nice and early for the lure of Easter chocolate, left behind by the Easter Bunny.
And boy was the Easter Bunny generous this year…I don’t think I’ve seen so many chocolate smiles on kids overloaded with sugar since well…Easter 2010.
In the traditional Speedboat Club fashion an Easter Hat parade commenced on the Copi front lawn complete with children in various Easter hats adorning huge smiles, and this year…a chicken.
The lawn was packed with family’s enjoying the parade, more chocolate, the beautiful weather and the usual boating sports.
The club would like to extend thanks to the people who organized the hat parade and to the chicken who made the 2011 Copi Hollow Easter Hat Parade a memorable occasion!
During the evening the Fundraising Committee opened the club rooms for happy hour and this was well supported by the members who were present at Copi for the weekend. A huge thank you to all the helpers who were involved.
Once again our kids are left with wonderful memories of their childhood at Copi Hollow.
