Easter Hat Parade 2012
Ahhhhh… those chocolate covered smiles and sugar inspired tantrums…Easter, that time of year when the Easter bunny loads our children up with the stuff that we tell them is bad for them…
We tell our kids all year that they must eat good food like fruit and veg, but along comes Easter and we let them eat chocolate for breakfast.
*Sigh* Would we have it any other way??
Of course not!
I think secretly once per year us as parents can also over indulge. We have the perfect excuse to have our chocolate and not feel guilty about it when it finally hits our hips.
Easter 2012 was a huge success at Copi Hollow, the day started with an announcement over the loud speaker that the Easter Bunny had dropped a whole lot of Easter eggs around the playground. Our Copi kids made their way down to the playground and excitedly started the Easter egg hunt.
The Easter egg hunt didn’t take long to complete, I think the kids might have had some sort of chocolate radar’s.
The club house was opened up for the kids and kids at heart to make hats and participate in other Easter fun craft activities in preparation for the impending Easter Hat Parade.
Hats made and some barely balancing on the kids heads. The kids all lined up to show off their Easter hats in the annual Easter Hat Parade which was held on the lawn at Copi Hollow.
The Easter Hat parade was well attended this year and there was all sorts of amazing hats made by the kiddies (and their parents) but each hat was proudly paraded along the grass in front of all the smiling and clapping spectators.
Prizes were given out for the best hats in the categories of: Toddler Boy and Girl and Junior Boy and Girl and their was another two prizes for the Cutest Boy and Girl…and they were all very cute!
Prizes consisted of…yep you guessed it…more chocolate!
The afternoon seen kids flying around on the backs of the boats enjoying a fun filled Copi Easter Day (well its one way to bring down the sugar rush).
This Easter the club rooms were opened for happy hour (which turned into happy couple of hours) which everyone enjoyed!
Bonfires were blazing, reminding us that Winter will once again be upon us.
The committee and members would like to thank all those involved in the Easter planning and running of activities!
